Information on law clerk openings is available through the Online System for Clerkship Application & Review (OSCAR). Law clerk recruitment is handled separately by each judge's chambers (see Judges of the Court), with applications submitted to the chambers by mail or through https://oscar.uscourts.gov, according to the judge's preference.

Compensation

Staff compensation is composed of base plus locality pay under the Court Personnel System (CPS):  CPS Pay Rates. Compensation for chambers personnel and unit executive positions is composed of base plus locality pay under the Judiciary Salary Plan (JSP): JSP Pay Rates. Law clerk compensation policies are described at https://oscar.uscourts.gov.
