Media Advisory Update – May 13, 2014, Oral Argument in No. 14-1167, Bostic v. Schaefer

Argument Date & Time:   Tuesday, May 13, 2014, 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Case Information:  Appeal from a judgment of the Eastern District of Virginia declaring Virginia's marriage laws unconstitutional insofar as they prohibit same-sex couples from marrying and deny state recognition to same-sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions.

Location:  Lewis F. Powell, Jr., United States Courthouse, 1000 East Main Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219.  Courthouse entrances on Main Street and Bank Street open at 7:00 a.m.  Bring photo identification and allow sufficient time to pass through security screening.  Do not bring restricted items, such as electronic devices, weapons, food, or beverages.  For directions, parking, and entry information, see Visiting the Court.
